11-17-20   THOUGHTS

Paul was a unique man, uniquely chosen, in a unique time for a unique purpose!  After a thousand or so years of the Jews being the definition of the chosen people of God, the definition must change to include all peoples (Gentiles),  and Paul is God’s special player in this process. In the passage below, some awesome ideas are presented.  This is surely “Big Picture” thinking. As non-Jews are integrated into God’s eternal plan with full acceptance, it seems that we, as a part of the Church, are to show the multi-faceted wisdom of God to beings in another world? Surely we are to be “light of this world”, but it seems it is important that others SEE THE HEART OF THE CHURCH and learn!  We are NOT INSIGNIFICANT!  WE HAVE SOMETHING TO DO, SHOWN BY THE WAY WE LIVE AND THINK!

Eph 3:8-12    To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, 9  and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things; 10  so that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places. 11  This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, 12  in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him.

Let’s consider today,  1.  “The unfathomable riches of Christ”  2.  The “Manifold wisdom of God”.

Eph 3:17-19     so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18
 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19  and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

Heb 10:19-23    Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, 20  by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, 21  and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22  let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. 23  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful;

Gal 6:16   And those who will walk by this rule, peace and mercy [be] upon them, and upon the Israel of God.

My Prayer:
Thank you, Oh Lord, for making known to us your wonderful eternal wisdom.  Make us  grow in our understanding, and help us seek relationship with you with our all.  May we abide in you and you in us.  Help us to pray with greater meaning and the opening of our hearts to your great being.   In Jesus precious name                        Amen
